About the Farmers Market

Now in its second season, The Farmer at The Green, presented by BMO, is downtown Chicago’s newest weekly farmers market. Shop for fresh, seasonal produce and locally made products from Chicago-based vendors and Midwest farmers. Conveniently located just south of Union Station, The Farmer at The Green is ideal for commuters and Loop/West Loop residents alike!

The mission of the market is to facilitate and support the growth of our local food system and to foster community engagement in downtown Chicago and the West Loop neighborhood. We are focused on building a great roster of farmers, local producers, and local processors.

Meet our Vendors

Weekly Vendors! The Farmer at the Green kicks off  Tuesday, May 14, from 3 – 7 pm! Grab your friends and bags to buy this season’s produce, fresh baked goods, and more. You’ll see some familiar faces, and new vendors are joining us:

  • Amazing Community PopUps: Based in the South suburbs of Chicago, this organization offers organically grown potted flowers, plants, and herbs.
  • Anjoli Candle Company: Anjoli Candle Company offers a unique line of handmade coconut-blend wax candles.  Their fragrances, blended with our coconut-based wax create a perfect candle combination of scents and serenity.
  • Banford Road Farm: Tractor, No-Till, Human-Powered, Regenerative Agriculture producing fruit, vegetables and flowers from Woodstock, Illinois.
  • Call Me Mother, LLC: Their pies are inherited from the virtues of goodwill, passion, and love. Their tradition of handcrafted pies date back to the early 1900’s; evoked by a mother who sought only to feed her community with good food, and amazing pies. Their purpose is to bring this dense heritage, goodwill, passion, and love to every bite you take of their wonderful delights.
  • Canal Street Eatery: Canal Street Eatery and Market, located in Chicago’s West Loop, is an all-day market with coffee, breakfast, and lunch, as well as an Italian bar and restaurant offering lunch and dinner.
  • Daly’s Donuts: Come check out their signature cinnamon sugar donuts which have been perfected by Daly family over several generations.
  • Frogtown Juice Co.: Their juices are Grandmother inspired; all natural, no sugars or water added in sustainable packaging made in-house using local and organic ingredients.
  • Katherine Anne Confections: Committed to sustainability, and practice that by using fair trade cacao, and working with local farmers for our Jersey cream, Midwest fruits, honey, and seasonal ingredients.
  • Laconic Foods: Specializing in olive oils, vinegars, and raw Greek honey. They are single sourced, rest assured you are enjoying products that come straight from their family’s land to your family’s table.
  • Mimi’s Kimbap: Delivering delicious and nutritious Korean kimbap. Their commitment to using only the highest quality, sustainable ingredients reflects their dedication to offering meals that are not just delightful but also beneficial for both customers and the environment.
  • Nuts To Go: At Nuts To Go, we pride ourselves on producing premium vanilla and whiskey roasted nuts that are organic, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly, ensuring they’re accessible to all. Their nuts are not just tasty; they’re crafted with care, ensuring each batch meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
  • SavvyDesigns: On a mission to bring beauty, functionality and a sense of community into everyday life through our handmade artistry.
  • Seed Living: Specializing in locally produced microgreens. Their goal is to improve the quality of life for the people in our communities by teaching them about nutrient-dense foods, helping them discover ways to boost their immune systems, and providing them with the tools to improve their health.
  • Tamales Express aka Vegetarian Express: A family run business providing authentic tamales, tacos, and lemonade to farmers markets around Chicagoland.
  • Tony Thyme Pot Pies: Serving Indian Butter Chicken & Vegan Chili Pot Pies, this unique spin on a classic comfort food will be sold hot or frozen all season long.
  • Westside Bee Boyz: Westside Bee Boyz is a black owned Honey and Bee product business that aims to support sustainability, diversity and innovation through urban farming, urban beekeeping and community engagement.  They only sell unfiltered, unpasteurized, raw honey straight from our hives to the jar. No preservatives, no chemicals, no additives.
  • Zaikadelic: On a mission to bridge cultures and bring the timeless tradition of ghee from our home to your modern kitchen. Their journey begins with a deep respect for ghee as not just a cooking ingredient but as a cherished piece of heritage and culture.

Pop-Up Vendors

Welcome to the Farmers at the Green, where we’re thrilled to bring you not just your favorite weekly vendors but also a rotating selection of pop-up vendors! This unique setup allows us to offer you an ever-changing array of specialty products, crafts, and foods, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting to discover.

 

  • Cordie’s Kitchen:International vintage and vintage-like jewelry. Giving a feel of old relics found in ancient treasure.
  • Folklor N Vintage: International vintage and vintage-like jewelry. Giving a feel of old relics found in ancient treasure.
  • Grounded Apothecary: Specializing in small-batch sea moss, magnesium mist, tinctures & tonics.
  • Jilly’s Jerky: Jilly’s Jerky proudly takes a homemade family tradition to new heights!  By using locally sourced premium beef and spices, they make a high quality and seriously flavored beef jerky snack for all to enjoy.  Made in small batches, the beef is sliced thin for easy eating and cut by hand to ensure the best pieces get into your bag.  Female founded and family-run, their small business says yes to beef jerky with big flavor and no to nitrates and artificial ingredients.
  • Nala’s Family Kitchen: Specializing Filipino inspired marinades. Sample their marinades on chicken kebabs at the market.
  • Nuts Over Dates: Sweet enough to satisfy your cravings, healthy enough to impress your nutritionist (who secretly wants some).
  • Nuqi Soaps: Their natural organic soaps, bath bombs are handmade. They make each soap with equal love and care,  fit for every occasion.
  • Zachi Chocolates LLC: ZACHI is Organic Premium Ecuadorian Chocolate that enlightens the body and mind. They combine the best Cacao in the world, Fine Aroma Ecuadorian Cacao, with enlightening ingredients that will bring happiness and wellness to you and your family. ZACHI is committed to sustainable practices and conserving the natural environment. For this reason they use an EARTH PACT certified packaging that is eco-friendly, composable and biodegradable, made from up cycled sugar cane fibers from the sugar production process that would otherwise go to waste. They also work with small farms under fair-trade practices to ensure we obtain the highest quality ingredients while also supporting local Ecuadorian communities.

Vendors

The 2024 Vendor Application is now live! To apply, go to managemymarket.com, create a vendor profile, and select The Farmer at The Green from the list of markets. From there you will be prompted to fill out our application. Vendors will be notified of selections by Tuesday, April 10th.

Vendor Types:
The Farmer at The Green is primarily a place for local farmers and processors of agricultural products. Priority will be given to farmer/producer vendors.

  • Farmer/Producer: sells raw or minimally processed agricultural products that they farm and/or produce from within 250 miles of The Green at 320
  • Processor: sells value-added food items that they process/bake from raw or minimally processed ingredients. Please note: only coffee roasters roasting within 250 miles of The Green at 320 are eligible for consideration
  • Artisan: sells handmade items. Items must be made locally and cannot be purchased by an outside party for resale
  • Prepared Food: sells ready-to-eat prepared, packaged “to go” foods

Getting Here

Located just south of Union Station, The Green at 320 sits at the base of the 320 South Canal office tower. The park can be accessed via pedestrian paths off of Van Buren and Clinton streets or through the breezeway adjacent to the building’s lobby on Canal Street. Regardless of your origin, getting to The Green at 320 is easy and convenient.

  • Direct connections to Metra and Amtrak trains at Union Station and CTA Loop Link busses at the Union Station Transit Center
  • Easy access to interstates 90/94 and 290
  • 350-car parking garage at 333 South Clinton Street
    • Discounted, flat rate of $5 between 2PM and 8PM on Tuesdays during our weekly Farmers Market 
  • Two-way bike lane on Clinton Street and several nearby Divvy Stations
  • Pedestrian Pedway to and from Union Station via the underground parking garage. Entrance to the pedway/garage located just north of the staircase at the corner of Clinton & Van Buren.
  • Clinton Blue Line Train Station at Clinton – one block to the south
