Music at the Market: Amanda Wolff

Amanda Wolff, a Chicago native, received her BA in Music from Augustana College and Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music. She can regularly be found performing around Chicagoland as the lead vocalist with swinging jazz and jump blues band The Flat Cats, female vocalist with 14-piece big band the Alan Gresik Swing Shift Orchestra, and a member of the all-female Beatles tribute band The Beatelles. With these groups and a host of others she has appeared at countless events and venues including the Taste of Chicago, Chicago SummerDance, Chicago Humanities Fest, WGN TV & WGN Radio, the Green Mill, Andy’s Jazz Club, the Drake Hotel, the RItz Carlton, Club Arcada, the Jazz Showcase, the Chicago Theatre, and Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing in NYC. Amanda is a veteran of Chicago’s storefront musical theatre scene and appeared in three USO tours, singing and dancing for overseas troops throughout the Mediterranean. She is also a long time music educator and teaching artist, currently a school conductor with Uniting Voices Chicago, as well as a yoga instructor and proud mother of a 5-year old boy.
